In Director of Media position, Wheelhouse’s Thorngate offers a powerful tool — and savings — to clients
When you walk into Ty Thorngate’s Wheelhouse Creative office, the first thing you notice is his organized desk.
Everything has a place and there’s a place for everything.
Which dovetails perfectly into his newly appointed position as Director of Media at Wheelhouse.
With over seven years of experience working with Facebook, Twitter, Google and all things new media, Thorngate is helping businesses both strategically place their advertising and save money.
Yes, save money.
It’s a powerful tool available to businesses because of Wheelhouse Creative’s success, clientele roster and relationships.
And Ty is a master craftsman. A Wheeling Park grad, yes, you might see him out and about beaming with pride over his wife Jess and son Leo. Some know him as an effective Wheeling councilman.
Inside the walls of Wheelhouse Creative, though, he’s tirelessly, diligently working for our clients.
It’s a big job.
“I’m tasked with a wide range of responsibilities,” Thorngate says. “That includes negotiating and purchasing ad space and time to effectively reach the target audiences of our clients, optimizing campaigns, managing budgets, negotiating with vendors, and analyzing performance.”
A self-described tech nerd, Thorngate is vigilant on keeping up with the latest information. And what he has to say to potential clients is eye-opening.
“In 2023 and beyond, it’s paramount we utilize a cross-channel marketing strategy for each client that includes television, social media, display advertising, search engine marketing, radio, video platforms and streaming services,” he says. “Data shows most households have over 15 media devices that are used to consume content and it’s our job to make sure we’re hitting potential customers at every avenue.”
It’s why having a company like Wheelhouse, which includes expertise like that of Thorngate, is essential in 2023 and beyond. It’s a brand-new media landscape.
“Over the last few years, the media landscape underwent profound transformations,” Thorngate says. “Our patterns of content consumption underwent rapid changes, which led to a significant reshaping of the media landscape. We can tap into content creators, news, communities, and experiences from wherever we are with just a click or a swipe.”
It’s Thorngate’s passion to help Wheelhouse Creative’s clients.
“I’m absolutely thrilled and couldn’t be more excited about this incredible opportunity,” he says. “Ever since I graduated from college, I’ve been eagerly awaiting a chance like this. The prospect of taking on new challenges, learning and growing in my career, and making a meaningful impact for our clients is exhilarating. I can’t wait to keep diving in, bringing my skills to the forefront, and embracing the exciting journey ahead.”
